Tools and materials required
- Key T8 and T10 star L

Dismantling XBOX360

Improve XBOX360
- Removing heatsync / metal cooling
Before proceeding further, we will open two iron cooling / heatsync CPU and GPU on the picture above. For that we are behind the motherboard, and we will get two X-shaped iron plate called the X-Clamp.
Remove the X-clamp with a small minus screwdriver to slip on the sidelines of the screw with a plate, push the screwdriver and the x-clamp will be released by itself. Off with a caution and one by one.
After X-clamp and heatsync / cooling iron off the motherboard will look like below. The next step is to clean the old thermal paste attached to the processor GPU, CPU and surrounding areas. So also is attached to the metal coolant.
- Remove the screws that attach to the heatsync with pliers / right key if any. Rotate counter-clockwise. One heatsync there are 4 screws, as shown in the picture above.
- Once clean, apply new thermal paste on both surfaces of the processor. Use only a little pasta (about the size of a kernel of rice for one processor) and blend with a credit card. The entire visible surface of the processor will shut pasta "thermal paste".
- With screws plus washers that have been provided, replace heatsync. Screw fitted with a tight but not to transmissivity yes, ntar damaged.
